Our Core Values:

At KidPointe, our staff, teachers, and management team share these Core Values

HEALTHY

We are Souled out to staying fit in our Faith, Family, Fitness, Finances, and Friendships because we recognize that our personal life comes to work with us.

Dear friend, I hope all is well with you and that you are as healthy in body as you are strong in spirit. 3 John 1:2

HUMBLE

We stay humble so we don’t stumble. We lack excessive ego or concerns about status and self.

Dress yourselves in humility as you relate to one another, for “God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble I Peter 5:5

HUMAN SKILLS

We practice people smarts. We are emotionally intelligent and have common sense about people. We practice good judgment and understand the impact of our words and actions.

Don’t use foul or abusive language. Let everything you say be good and helpful, so that your words will be an encouragement to those who hear them. Ephesians 4:29

HUSTLE

We are always looking for more—more things to do, more to learn, more responsibility. We rarely have to be pushed by our Supervisor to work harder because we are self-motivated and diligent. We are constantly anticipating and thinking about the next step and the next opportunity.

Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord. Colossians 3:23

As the Director of KidPointe, my philosophy is: happy, healthy children; happy, healthy teachers; happy, healthy families. What does this mean? This philosophy seems simple but is also much more than just a statement. It is our culture and our core, and it is very much what we believe in. We believe that to be successful in all areas, children are at the forefront, because they are why we do what we do. Additionally, the happiness of our teachers is also key, as well as the happiness and confidence of families.

When caregivers/parents drop their children off to us at the beginning of the day, their absolute confidence that their little ones are in good hands is what makes us, among other things, thrive and set a foundation of service that it is our goal to exceed. We work as a community of children, teachers, and families to create a happy and harmonious preschool life every day.

As your Director, it is my goal to support you in whatever you need, because while our children and families come first, so do you. My goal is to help you thrive in an environment that is positive and supportive, which also involves personally being active in your classroom whenever you need. As a former teacher, I have been there, so I am truly able to relate to the day-to-day in a preschool environment.

I look forward to getting to know you better! Thank you for your interest in KidPointe Preschool.

Meet Our Director

Melissa Edwards,
Director

Hello,

Thank you for your interest in becoming an educator at KidPointe Ventura!

As a lead teacher, your day-to-day consists of three main tasks:

• Safety, supervision, and care of our children
• Communication
• Leading activities in your classroom

It's our goal to make our family’s lives easier through peace of mind when entrusting us with their child(ren).

Your #1 responsibility every day is to provide a safe, positive and nurturing environment for our children.

This may sound easy, but it involves lots of time, patience, understanding, and knowledge.

Whereas other infant centers see many families and children as a number to bring in monetary stability, we see children as an asset to our program. We believe each child has something to give to the world and to our program. Every child should be made to feel special and loved.

We have four Core Values that help our Dream team members separate us from the competition:

• Healthy
• Humble
• Human Skills
• Hustle

We do this by putting our beliefs into action, as it is at the core of our passion for our children, our teachers, and our families.

Please understand, we are not looking for those who are only working for a paycheck. We are looking for individuals who are eager to learn and grow, and to put children at the forefront.

We do this by putting our beliefs into action, as it is at the core of our passion for our children, our teachers, and our families.

Please understand, we are not looking for those who are only working for a paycheck. We are looking for individuals who are eager to learn and grow, and to put children at the forefront.

As a lead teacher, your position will be full-time and on-site.

At KidPointe, we take every step to ensure our teachers and staff are set up for success. Our new teacher orientation is a half-day, mostly one on one time with our Director. She’ll give you a tour of the campus and you’ll experience your first live training course. You’ll learn about the flow of the day, the families we serve, and how we do things that elevate the standard. If we can make it easy for you, we will.

We want you to be successful, and we want what is best for both you and our children, so rest -assured that you will find support in both our Director and your fellow teachers by providing continuous on-the-job training to help you be successful.

A typical day will start with arriving at your classroom 30 minutes before drop-off. You’ll make sure the changing area is stocked with diapers, the nap mats are clean with fresh linens, books are on their shelves in the library area and the room is clean and ready for fun. You won’t have a supply problem, because we provide these items so it’s easy for you and easy for our families.

After your classroom is ready, you’ll head over to the morning drop-off area and say hello to the parents and transition your way back to the classroom with your little ones to start the day.
Once the kiddos are all accounted for, you’ll jump right into the plan for the day, circle time, snacks, outdoor fun, nap time, and free play. Checking and changing diapers, and washing tiny hands are constant. Smile. Stinky booty. Diaper change. Repeat.

Your fellow teachers and Director may drop in to lend a hand or provide support.

As the day starts winding down, parents will come to pick up their littlest loved ones to head home.
Before you end the day, you’ll wipe down and sanitize the classroom, tidy up the areas, and leave the classroom ready for the next day.

Sometimes, you will be challenged with a parent or child having a bad day, but remember you have your amazing fellow teachers and supportive Director to bounce ideas off of and help you work through your busy but fruitful day. You’ll utilize tools like HeyMama to communicate easily and effectively with each other.

You may even struggle when trying to get to know your children when you take on this role, but as you quickly bond and find support in those around you, you'll find that getting to know your students will come quickly and easily.

Everyone makes mistakes, and it is expected, which is why there are a lot of policies and procedures in place to help ensure quality. The key is to take each mistake as a learning opportunity to help you improve your overall performance.

We hope this letter has helped to explain what your day-to-day would look like as a lead teacher.

While there is much more that was not touched upon, we wanted to give you a general idea of what to expect.
If this sounds interesting because you are passionate, knowledgeable, and put children at the forefront, then you more than likely have what it takes to be a ROCK STAR teacher, and we would love to add you to our team!

Infant Center Director

Kidpointe Preschool

Infant Center

Hello,

Thank you for your interest in becoming an Assistant Infant Center Director at KidPointe. We understand the market is competitive and wanted to provide you with further insight into what this role entails.

As an Assistant Infant Center Director, your day-to-day consists of these main tasks.

  1. Lead staff by setting the ideal example of being an in-classroom teacher with additional administrative and leadership responsibilities such as staffing and scheduling

  2. 100% Compliance with licensing and Best in Class Church Preschool BEST PRACTICES and CONSULTING

  3. Assist in the Recruitment, Hiring, and Retention of 5-Star Teachers that families adore measured by teachers getting at least one email or other documented compliment per month from a program family

  4. Ensure the center maintains zero licensing violations

It's our mission to lead children to find and follow Jesus. We partner with our families where we develop our student's full God-given potential in a safe, age-appropriate environment where the Bible is taught in a creative and relevant way.

You will spend about 70% of your day breaking teacher in the classroom – you'll float around the classrooms and act as a classroom assistant. You’ll pick up where the teacher left off – changing diapers, finishing story time, and adapting to the needs of the moment. You’ll have additional administrative responsibilities such as staffing and scheduling.

This may sound easy, but it involves being limber, and up for any challenge. You will start each day with a plan – time in classrooms, observing staff, reviewing documentation, and ensuring proper ratios, mixed in with diapers, playing on the floor, and nap time. Repeat. Smile. Laugh. Love. Pray.

Sometimes, you will be challenged with staffing or need to work through a conflict but remember, God picked you for this journey.

We have four Core Values that separate our Dream Team from other area preschools:

Courageous Faith
We are faith filled, big thinking, bet the farm risk takers. We will never insult God with small thinking and safe living.

Extravagant Generosity
We give up the things we love for the things we love even more. It’s an honor to sacrifice for Christ and His Church.

Unconditional Love
We believe God so loved the world, so we refuse any form of prejudice. We love freely and frequently with no strings attached.

Uncommon Unity
Jesus prayed for it, Satan tries to destroy it, and the blessing of God follows it. Because our mission is so important, we will do whatever it takes to honor each other and protect our house. Even when we don't see eye to eye, we will walk arm in arm.

Please understand, we are not looking for someone to sit in an office all day. We are looking for someone to get to know the families, build relationships, and keep the school running. We are looking for someone to support and advocate for our teachers and staff, build relationships with our families, and keep the school at capacity and in compliance with licensing.

A typical day may start with greeting the families, checking classroom ratios, and reviewing and planning for snack prep. You might find assisting the Director with some more of the administrative functions, but your primary responsibility is to support the teachers. You’ll train them, keep them informed and be their biggest cheerleader.

As a Best in Class Church Preschool, our Directors enjoy being part of a growing community of Directors and expert consultants, and having an owner who is committed to the Best in Class Church Preschool model. We attract 5-Star families who support our teachers so they don't feel burned out. We are changing the model and expectations of Preschools and Infant Centers everywhere.

We understand the value of a strong partnership between the family and the teachers.  We foster a flow of mutual respect and if there is a problem child and we are not getting adequate support from a family, the child will be disenrolled from our school.

We ideally will avoid enrolling chronically challenged students in our school through our enrolling family assessment process.  We require families to bring their children >9 months old to tour our facility to observe their interactions and behaviors. We do not accept every family into our program.

While the market has dried up since COVID, we attract 5-Star teachers by adhering to the Best in Class Church Preschool model.  We utilize out-of-the-box recruitment strategies and assessments and spend an average of four hours with a qualified teacher before making an offer.  We only hire 5-Star teachers and never settle.

A Best in Class Church Preschool is all about love.  We love our families, children, staff, and teachers.

Join us on our trailblazing journey to set higher preschool standards, find teachers who are truly passionate about enlightening young minds, and create a loving and faith-filled start to every single student's education.

Crosspointe is one church in three locations with a mission to lead people to find and follow Jesus. With three southern California campuses, thousands of people have accepted Christ, been baptized and discipled since the church's beginning.

In 2017, the Anaheim campus moved into its brand new, home with up to state of the art technology, a massive two-story children's playground, as well as warm and inviting spaces for everyone in the church to meet, worship, and serve others.

The Ventura campus was adopted in 2018 and the revitalization has been amazing! God has exceeded all of our expectations as we have been focused on relentlessly improving the facilities and restructuring the ministry to continually reach people for Christ in Ventura.

The Brea campus joined the Crosspointe family in 2021. This congregation and its incredible location near the heart of Brea is poised for amazing impact in north Orange County.
